Our short-term courses are custom designed for specific industries to help startups confidently begin their business. Learn how to think strategically and define the values that will guide you uniquely through your industry. Courses are conducted virtually and in-person.
On-Demand Marketing Bootcamp
The “Sync Space On-Demand Marketing Bootcamp” is an seven-module Bootcamp which takes participants through several fundamental areas of marketing, including building an enticing brand and cohesive sales strategy. The marketing bootcamp is available at no-cost to all startups and small businesses in the Appalachian Highlands region. Upon registration, participants can journey through this self-paced curriculum to gain insight from some of the region’s top marketing experts.
Marketing Boot Camp
Get a boost in marketing and e-commerce strategy to help your business survive and thrive in a pandemic-impacted world. This is a condensed virtual workshop customized for small businesses and entrepreneurs in need of adjusting their marketing strategy due to the impacts by COVID-19. Students get insight on customer discovery, strategies for sales and social channels, and creating a brand strategy. Participants get opportunities for discussion and 1-on-1 mentorship specific to their businesses.
Course time is from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. This course can be attended in person or virtually.
In-person classes will be held at Sync Space, 227 E Sullivan St, Kingsport, TN 37660.

Makers, Creators and Online Retail Boot Camp
Industry experts address topics related to sales and marketing, e-commerce, access to training and equipment, finance and IP. This intensive boot camp is tailored for small businesses and entrepreneurs in the maker, retail or product industries who have been impacted by COVID-19. Specific topics to pivoting strategy, finance, and sales in the midst of COVID will be highlighted throughout the program all centered around an actual project.
Sessions will be hosted at the Inventor’s Center in Kingsport on Shelby Street.
Course hours are 5:30 – 7:30pm.

Restaurant Recovery & Growth
This 4-week virtual course is for employees, owners and operators of restaurants and food service businesses to provide the tools and resources to adjust your business model in response to the global pandemic and your customer’s changing needs and expectations. Learn how to think strategically and define the values that will guide you safely through this unique season for the food and beverage industry and find your opportunities for employment and career advancement. This course will be conducted virtually.
Course hours are from 9:30 – 11:00 am.
